What is a sports bench?

A sports bench — also called a fitness bench or garden bench element — is a low, compact outdoor bench without a backrest. The name "sports bench" refers to its functionality: the bench can be used as a seating spot, as a footstool for a lounge chair, as an extra seating element in a corner lounge set or as a standalone piece of furniture. The width typically ranges from 100 to 130 cm, with a seat height of 35–45 cm. Due to its compact size, a sports bench also fits on a smaller terrace or balcony.
