The Athene parasol Ø300cm is a beautiful cantilever parasol with a large parasol canopy. This hanging parasol is simple to operate, is made from high quality materials and comes standard with a matching cross foot. Modern cantilever parasol With the Athene cantilever parasol you bring a reliable parasol into your home. The parasol is fitted with strong ribs made of fibreglass. This makes the ribs very flexible as well. The aluminium frame has a diameter of 48 mm and is fitted with a protective powder coating. The sturdy, 180 gr/m2 polyester canopy is fitted with a wind vent. The handy thing about this parasol is that it comes standard with a cross foot, which only needs to be weighted down or buried. Preferably, yes. Close the parasol, let the canopy dry completely and store it somewhere dry and frost-free, or use a parasol cover. This prevents mould and keeps the canopy looking good for longer.
What is the difference between a cantilever and a centre-pole parasol?
A cantilever parasol has its pole to the side, so there is no pole in the middle – ideal over a lounge set. A centre-pole parasol has the pole in the middle, is cheaper and fits through the hole of a garden table.
How heavy should a parasol base be?
As a rule of thumb, allow at least 10 kg per metre of pole length. A 3-metre parasol therefore needs a base of at least 30 kg. For cantilever parasols an even heavier base is recommended.
