What makes a lounge set all-weather?
A true all-weather lounge set differs from a standard lounge set in two key ways:
- All-weather cushions: filled with Quick-Dry foam that dries within minutes after rain. Covered with outdoor fabric that is water-repellent, UV-resistant and mould-resistant. You don't need to bring them inside during a shower.
- Weather-resistant frame: made from stainless aluminium or stainless steel, which withstands frost, heat and moisture.

What to look out for with all-weather lounge sets
- Cushion filling: genuine all-weather cushions are filled with open-cell Quick-Dry foam that dries quickly. Check this when purchasing — not all "outdoor" cushions are all-weather.
- Upholstery: the outer fabric must be water-repellent, UV-resistant and mould-resistant. Olefin and Sunbrella are the best choices.
- Frame: check that the frame is made from aluminium or stainless steel — steel rusts over time, even with coating.
- Manufacturer warranty: ask whether the manufacturer offers warranty for all-weather use and outdoor overwintering. Not all brands cover this.
- Cleaning: even all-weather sets benefit from a rinse at the beginning and end of the season.
All-weather vs. standard lounge set — the difference
With a standard lounge set you need to store the cushions during rain in a storage box or bring them inside. Yes, all-weather lounge sets are designed to withstand frost, rain and heat. The frame is made from stainless aluminium or stainless steel. The upholstery is made from outdoor fabric that is UV-resistant and water-repellent. We do recommend using a protective cover if the set won't be used for extended periods during winter.
What's the difference between a standard lounge set and an all-weather lounge set?

How quickly do Quick-Dry cushions dry after rain?
Quick-Dry cushions typically dry within 15-30 minutes after a rain shower, depending on intensity. The open-cell foam allows water to drain quickly and the outer fabric repels water. After a brief shower you can sit on them again almost immediately.

How do I clean an all-weather lounge set?
Rinse the frame and cushions with a garden hose and lukewarm soapy water. Most all-weather cushion covers can also be machine washed at 30°C. Allow everything to dry thoroughly before putting it back. Do this at least at the beginning and end of the season.
Is an all-weather lounge set more expensive than a standard set?
Generally speaking, all-weather sets are 10-20% more expensive than comparable sets without all-weather cushions. The extra cost pays for itself in convenience (no moving cushions around) and longer cushion lifespan.
Can I replace standard cushions with all-weather cushions?
