Instructions for use

Preferably, yes. Close the parasol, let the canopy dry completely and store it somewhere dry and frost-free, or use a parasol cover. This prevents mould and keeps the canopy looking good for longer.
What is the difference between a cantilever and a centre-pole parasol?
A cantilever parasol has its pole to the side, so there is no pole in the middle – ideal over a lounge set. A centre-pole parasol has the pole in the middle, is cheaper and fits through the hole of a garden table.
How do I maintain teak garden furniture?
Treat teak once a year with teak oil or a teak protector to preserve its warm brown colour. Untreated teak will turn grey but remains strong and durable.
Can teak stay outside?
Yes, teak is one of the most durable wood species for outdoor use. Its natural resins and oils make it resistant to moisture, rot and insects — even without treatment.
How heavy should a parasol base be?
As a rule of thumb, allow at least 10 kg per metre of pole length. A 3-metre parasol therefore needs a base of at least 30 kg. For cantilever parasols an even heavier base is recommended.
