Instructions for use
Close the parasol in high wind, rain or during prolonged absence and always use a suitable parasol base for adequate stability. Clean the fabric with lukewarm water and a mild soapy solution and allow it to dry completely before closing the parasol again or storing it in the cover.

Preferably, yes. Close the parasol, let the canopy dry completely and store it somewhere dry and frost-free, or use a parasol cover. This prevents mould and keeps the canopy looking good for longer.
What is the difference between a cantilever and a centre-pole parasol?
A cantilever parasol has its pole to the side, so there is no pole in the middle – ideal over a lounge set. A centre-pole parasol has the pole in the middle, is cheaper and fits through the hole of a garden table.
How heavy should a parasol base be?
As a rule of thumb, allow at least 10 kg per metre of pole length. A 3-metre parasol therefore needs a base of at least 30 kg. For cantilever parasols an even heavier base is recommended.
