The in-ground base is easy to install without using concrete. Preferably, yes. Close the parasol, let the canopy dry completely and store it somewhere dry and frost-free, or use a parasol cover. This prevents mould and keeps the canopy looking good for longer.
What is the difference between a cantilever and a centre-pole parasol?
A cantilever parasol has its pole to the side, so there is no pole in the middle – ideal over a lounge set. A centre-pole parasol has the pole in the middle, is cheaper and fits through the hole of a garden table.
How heavy should a parasol base be?
As a rule of thumb, allow at least 10 kg per metre of pole length. A 3-metre parasol therefore needs a base of at least 30 kg. For cantilever parasols an even heavier base is recommended.
Are Platinum parasols good quality?
