What should you look for when choosing a parasol?

• Size: a parasol should be at least as large as the area to be shaded. Calculate: table 120x80 cm → parasol minimum Ø 300 cm.
• Base: a good parasol base is heavy enough to keep the parasol stable — reckon approximately 10-15 kg per metre diameter.
• Fabric material: Olefin and Spuncrylic are the most UV-resistant and colour-fast fabrics; UPF 50+ provides the best protection.
• Tilt function: a tilt function lets you adjust the shade with the sun — ideal for the midday sun.
