Compare pumps and filters for your pool

With the right pump and filter, the water in your pool stays cleaner, and with a heat pump or pool heating you can swim for longer in the season. Here you compare filter pumps, sand filter pumps, heat pumps and pool heating from Intex, Bestway, Interline and Gre.

Cartridge filter pump or sand filter pump?

A cartridge filter pump catches dirt in a filter cartridge that you rinse regularly and replace after a while. A sand filter pump filters the water through a tank with filter sand or filter balls, which you rinse instead of replace. Check for each pump up to which capacity it is suitable according to the manufacturer and which connection it has.

Heat pump and pool heating

A heat pump draws heat from the outside air and transfers it to the pool water. Solar pool heating, such as a solar mat or solar heater dome, heats the water using the sun. An electric pool heater is available for smaller pools. Compare the power and the capacity a model is intended for.

What should you pay attention to when choosing?

Compare the capacity in litres per hour, the capacity the pump is intended for and the size of the connection, so that the hoses of your pool fit. Some pumps have a timer or wifi control. Place the pump on a flat, dry spot next to the pool, as indicated in the manual.

Connecting safely

Connect a pump or heat pump to an earthed socket with a residual current device (RCD) and place it at the distance from the water indicated in the manual. You can find filter cartridges and filter balls under cover and accessories.
