Pool robot or manual?

A pool robot drives itself over the floor, and depending on the model also along the wall and the waterline, and collects dirt in its own filter. There are robots with a cord and cordless robots with a battery. You move a pool vacuum cleaner yourself over the floor, with a pole or as a handheld vacuum. Hydraulic pool cleaners work on the suction power of the filter pump.

What should you pay attention to?

Check the title and the specifications for which pool size a robot is intended, whether it also cleans walls and the waterline and whether a trolley is included. For a cordless robot, the battery is important. With the Model filter, you choose between robots, vacuum cleaners, skimmers and hand tools.

Net, brush and maintenance set

A net removes leaves from the water surface, a brush loosens wall and floor, and a maintenance set often combines a net, a brush and a vacuum head with a telescopic pole. Use a robot or vacuum cleaner as indicated in the manual and take it out of the water before swimming.

Maintenance of a robot

Rinse the filter of a robot after cleaning, so that it suctions well again next time. Connect the power supply of a corded robot to an earthed socket with a residual current device (RCD) and store the robot dry outside the season.
