Boretti is a Dutch brand with Italian roots that has set the standard for design barbecues and outdoor kitchens for years. Known for powerful gas cookers for indoors, Boretti now translates that same craftsmanship and aesthetic to the garden. Boretti barbecues stand out for their robust construction, cast iron grates and sleek Italian design — a combination that fits perfectly with a modern outdoor kitchen or stylish terrace setup. At Boender Outdoor you'll find the complete Boretti range, from compact gas barbecues to complete outdoor kitchens. Boretti also appeared on The Great Garden Makeover, the popular TV show where professional garden designers completely transform gardens and terraces.
The Boretti range: from gas to kamado
Boretti offers barbecues for every taste and every terrace situation. Whether you want to grill quickly on gas, smoke low and slow on charcoal for hours, or use a ceramic kamado that can do it all — Boretti has a model for you. The range is divided into four main categories:
- Gas barbecues — from compact 2-burners to powerful 5-burners with rotisserie, side burner and wok burner. Models such as the Robusto, Leonardo, Addizio and Fratello Gas are suitable for any gathering.
- Charcoal barbecues — the Barilo and Terzo series for the traditional grilling experience with authentic charcoal flavour. Solid steel, cast iron grates and a robust construction that lasts for years.
- Kamado barbecues — the Ceramica range offers the same versatility as a Big Green Egg: grilling, smoking, pizza baking and slow cooking in one ceramic appliance. Available in multiple sizes.
- Built-in barbecues and outdoor kitchens — the Imperatore built-in range and the Luciano Nero outdoor kitchen are designed for seamless integration into a prefabricated or bespoke outdoor kitchen.
Boretti gas barbecues: speed and style
The Boretti gas barbecues combine high performance with thoughtful design. All models are equipped with cast iron grates that distribute heat evenly and create a beautiful grill mark — just like in a professional kitchen. The cast iron grates are also ideal for searing meat at high temperature.
Popular models:
- Boretti Robusto — the versatile 4-burner with optional wok burner and rotisserie. Perfect for families who barbecue regularly and want more than just grilling.
- Boretti Leonardo — elegant 2-burner with sleek design, ideal for smaller terraces. Despite its compact size, no compromise on quality or power.
- Boretti Addizio — the entry-level model with Italian design at a sharp price. For those wanting to start with a quality gas barbecue without going straight into the premium segment.
- Boretti Fratello Gas — the complete gas barbecue with side burner, rotisserie and large grill surface. Ideal if you want real restaurant quality in your garden.
Boretti charcoal and kamado grill: from Barilo to Ceramica
If you prefer barbecuing on charcoal, you'll find a complete selection of Boretti charcoal barbecues. The Barilo is a robust traditional grill kettle with cast iron grate and adjustable air intake for precise temperature control. The Boretti Terzo is the more compact variant for terraces with less space or for those just starting out with charcoal barbecuing.
For the most versatile grilling experience, Boretti offers the Ceramica kamado. This ceramic grill egg can grill, smoke, cook low and slow, bake pizza and bread on charcoal. The thick ceramic walls retain heat exceptionally well and provide stable temperatures from 50 to 350 °C. The Ceramica Large offers a large cooking surface for larger gatherings.
Boretti built-in barbecue and outdoor kitchen
For a fully integrated outdoor kitchen, Boretti offers built-in models such as the Imperatore Nero Built-In and the Ibrido built-in. These barbecues are designed to integrate seamlessly into a kitchen block or island, just like a built-in oven in your kitchen. The result is a professional-looking outdoor kitchen without visible legs or trolleys.
The Boretti Luciano Nero Outdoor Kitchen takes it a step further: a complete outdoor kitchen with multiple burners, drawer unit, fridge compartment and a professional stainless steel worktop. If you cook seriously outdoors, you'll find in the Luciano Nero a complete package that leaves nothing to be desired.
Featured on TV: The Great Garden Makeover
Boretti recently appeared on The Great Garden Makeover, the popular Dutch TV show where garden designers carry out complete garden transformations. Boretti barbecues and outdoor kitchens were used as the centrepiece of new outdoor living spaces — and for good reason. The design and versatility of Boretti fit perfectly with the stylish garden design that is central to the programme.
Materials and quality
Boretti uses only materials that can withstand the weather conditions of the Dutch climate. The housings are made of enamelled steel or stainless steel, both resistant to rain and UV. All gas barbecues are equipped with cast iron grates, which retain heat better than stainless steel grates, wear less quickly and provide a better grill mark. The burners are made of 304 stainless steel for optimal longevity.
The Ceramica kamado uses the same high-quality ceramic as the major brands — thick, heat-resistant and moisture-repellent. The ceramic ensures a stable climate inside the barbecue, which means your meat stays juicier than on a regular grill.
Boretti vs other barbecue brands
Boretti sets itself apart from brands such as Weber and Napoleon through its Italian-inspired design and strong focus on visual integration into an outdoor kitchen. While Weber excels in functionality and Napoleon in technical innovation, Boretti offers the combination of attractive appearance, solid build quality and a complete range for every grilling style. Also compare Boretti with other brands in our range: Keij Kamado for ceramic kamados and our complete barbecue range.

Frequently asked questions
Are Boretti barbecues suitable for an outdoor kitchen?
Yes, Boretti has developed special built-in models such as the Imperatore BI and the Ibrido built-in that fit seamlessly into a kitchen block. The Luciano Nero is even a complete standalone outdoor kitchen. All Boretti barbecues are weather-resistant and suitable for permanent outdoor use.
What makes Boretti grates special?
Boretti barbecues come standard with cast iron grates. Cast iron retains heat better than stainless steel, creates a better grill mark, wears less quickly and ensures more even cooking. With proper care (seasoning with oil), cast iron grates last for years.
Can I use a Boretti kamado for pizza as well?
Absolutely. The Boretti Ceramica kamado can be heated to 350 °C or higher, which is perfect for baking Neapolitan pizza in 60-90 seconds. With a pizza stone (available separately), you can bake a pizza at home that approaches restaurant quality.
How do I maintain a Boretti gas barbecue?
After each use: rinse or brush the grates. Monthly: check burners for blockages and empty the grease tray. At the end of the season: thoroughly clean the barbecue, season the grates with oil and cover with a protective cover. Boretti gas barbecues are made of weather-resistant material, but a cover significantly extends the lifespan.
Does Boender Outdoor deliver Boretti to the Netherlands?
