Compare Garantia water butts: rainwater column, wall tank and diverter
Garantia is a German rainwater harvesting brand that belongs to the manufacturer GRAF. It is known for decorative water butts that look like stone, wood or an amphora. On this page you compare Garantia water butts, rainwater columns and wall tanks, with the diverters, stands and lids that go with them.
What does Garantia offer?
- Water butts such as Arondo, Azura, Barrica and 4Rain Slim, from about 230 to 510 litres.
- Rainwater columns and wall tanks such as ExtraSlim, Elegance, Rocky, Terranova and Woody: flat or slim, for along the wall.
- Amphoras and 2-in-1 butts with a planter, such as Antik, Triagon, Milo and Jolie.
- Diverters such as Speedy, Rapido and Avanti, plus stands and lids.
Choosing a Garantia water butt
First choose the shape that suits your space, then the capacity. A wall tank or column takes up little room along the house, while an amphora or 2-in-1 stands out more in a border. The Capacity in litres filter lets you compare sizes. For the diverter, check the diameter of your downpipe: the title states which sizes fit, for example DN 70 to 100. A diverter guides the water into the butt and lets it run down the downpipe again once the butt is full.
Looks and material
Many Garantia butts have the look of stone, granite, wood or terracotta. They are made of plastic but resemble a small wall, a wooden barrel or an amphora. That means they also suit a spot where an ordinary butt would stand out, such as next to the patio or by the front door. The title gives the colour, such as anthracite, sand beige, stone grey, light granite or dark granite. The Colour filter groups the variants.
Stand and lid
Some rectangular butts have a separate stand, so the tap sits higher. Round butts often have their own lid; there are also separate lids, for example for the 300 litre Lanzarote. The title shows which model a stand or lid is intended for. A stand also makes the butt more stable on uneven ground.
Safe use
Rainwater is not drinking water. Use it for borders, the vegetable patch and pots. Keep the butt closed with its lid so children and animals cannot get in and mosquitoes have no chance. Empty the butt before winter or disconnect the diverter, and drain the tap as well.
Comparing Garantia
The filters let you choose by type, capacity and colour. The product page shows the specifications and price history, and a price alert tells you when a model gets cheaper. You always order directly from the shop itself. Other brands can be compared at water butts and rainwater tanks.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a rainwater column and a wall tank?
A column is tall and slim, a wall tank is flat and wide. Both stand against the wall and take up little room. Which fits better depends on your space.
What is a 2-in-1 water butt?
A water butt with a planter in or on the lid. You collect water and have room for plants at the same time.
Which diverter fits my downpipe?
The title states the size, for example DN 70 to 100 or DN 50 to 60. Compare it with the diameter of your downpipe.
Does a Garantia water butt need emptying in winter?
Empty the butt before the frost or disconnect the diverter, so no water freezes and damages the butt or the tap.
