Compare Amazonas hammocks and hanging chairs: models and prices

Amazonas is a German brand that focuses entirely on hammocks and hanging chairs. From a colourful cotton hammock to hang between two trees to a wooden hanging chair with stand and lightweight travel hammocks for the road: on this page you compare Amazonas products with the current price at the shop.

What does Amazonas make?

• Hammocks: single and double models such as the Barbados, Paradiso, Palacio, Salsa and American Dream, plus spreader bar hammocks such as the Brasilia, Tonga and Samba.
• Hanging chairs: the Brasil, Havanna, Relax and Panama, and the Globo Chair, a wooden swinging hanging chair for one or two people, on its own or with a stand.
• Travel hammocks: the Adventure line, the Ultra Light Adventure Hammock, the Silk Traveller and the Moskito with mosquito net.
• Stands: such as the Madera hammock stand and the Globo Royal Stand.

Hammock with or without a spreader bar

A hammock without a spreader bar wraps around you, so you lie in it diagonally and feel cocooned. A hammock with a spreader bar stays open and flat, which makes it easier to get into and handy for sitting on for a moment. When choosing, look at the length and width, whether the hammock is meant for one or two people, and the maximum load shown with the product.

Hanging chair or Globo Chair

A fabric hanging chair hangs from a beam, a tree or a ceiling hook. The Globo Chair is a wooden frame with cushions that is also available with a matching stand, so you can place it anywhere in the garden or on the patio. Some versions have weather resistant fabric (Weatherproof), useful if the chair stays outside more often.

Travel hammocks

For camping or a hiking trip, Amazonas has travel hammocks such as the Adventure and the Ultra Light Adventure Hammock. They are light and pack down small. A separate mosquito net is available for the Adventure line, and the Moskito comes with one.

How to compare Amazonas

Use the filters to choose by colour and material, for example wood or plastic, and sort by price or popularity. To see only hammocks or only hanging chairs, go to the subcategory. The product page lists the dimensions and, where known, the load capacity. You always order from the shop itself, where you also see the current price.

To put Amazonas side by side with another brand, also take a look at La Siesta, which also makes hammocks, hanging chairs and stands. All outdoor seating is in garden chairs.
