Compare La Siesta hammocks and hanging chairs: models and prices

La Siesta makes hammocks, hanging chairs and the stands to go with them. The brand has classic fabric hammocks, outdoor versions that can cope with the elements and lightweight travel hammocks. On this page you compare La Siesta products with the current price at the shop.

What does La Siesta make?

• Hammocks: from single to kingsize, such as the Brisa, Flora, Alabama, Currambera, Sonrisa and the large Agave XXL, plus the Alisio with spreader bars at both ends.
• Hanging chairs: including the Habana, Domingo, Caribena, Currambera, Botanica and ZunZun, in basic and comfort versions.
• Travel hammocks: the Colibri and Colibri 3.0, for one or two people.
• Stands: the Nautico and Mediterraneo for hammocks and the Udine for hanging chairs.

Outdoors or indoors

Some La Siesta hammocks and hanging chairs are made for outdoor use, such as the Brisa line and models with Outdoor or Outdoor Proof in the name. They use a fabric that copes better with sun and damp than ordinary cotton. There are also hammocks in organic cotton, pleasantly soft, but best brought inside in wet weather. Check the product to see which fabric is used.

What to look for when choosing

First decide where you will hang the hammock or chair: from trees, a beam or a stand. Then look at the size (single, double or kingsize), the maximum load shown with the product and whether you want a spreader bar. Many hanging chairs come in a basic and a comfort version; the product page shows how they differ, such as size and fabric.

Hammock or hanging chair?

In a hammock you lie at full length, ideal for an afternoon nap between two trees. A hanging chair takes up less space and hangs from a single point, for example under a canopy or on the balcony. If you have nowhere to hang it, a stand such as the Udine or Mediterraneo is the answer.
