Solo Stove accessories
Each model has matching accessories: a stand, a lid, a spark screen, a protective cover, a heat deflector and a handle. With a pellet adapter you can burn pellets, as the manual describes. For cooking over the fire there are roasting sticks, a plancha or cast iron griddle with adapter, a cooking ring and a cooking station. The Surround table fits around the fire pit and gives you a ledge to put things down. Accessories are made per model, so check the title to see whether they fit your Ranger, Bonfire, Yukon or Mesa.
What to look for when choosing
Start with the spot. For a sturdy outdoor table, a Mesa is a logical choice; for a garden with seating around the fire, look at the Ranger, Bonfire, Yukon or Summit. Compare the size with the space and the number of people around the fire, using the Diameter filter. If you want to cook over the fire, check which cooking accessories exist for your model. A low-smoke fire pit still produces some smoke, especially when lighting and with damp wood, so burn dry, untreated wood or the fuel named in the manual.
Using it safely
Only use a Solo Stove in the open air, never indoors, in a tent or under a canopy, pergola, parasol or awning. Keep a generous distance from your house, trees, hedges and fences, and follow the manual. Place the fire pit on a stable, non-combustible surface such as paving or gravel, never leave the fire unattended and keep water, sand or a fire blanket close by. Local rules on fires apply, and in the Netherlands a stookalert from the RIVM may be in force.
