Compare fire pit accessories: from grill grate to cover
With the right accessories you get more out of your fire pit or fire bowl: you cook on it, you keep it dry and you burn more safely. Here you compare accessories from Solo Stove, Höfats, BonFeu, CookKing, Esschert Design, RedFire and Petromax, with the current price at the shop.
What will you find here?
- Grill grates and planchas: grates in steel, stainless steel or cast iron, griddle plates, ring-shaped griddles that sit around a fire bowl, and tripods for hanging a grate above the fire.
- Lids, covers and table tops: to keep the fire bowl dry or turn it into a table.
- Stands and base plates: to raise the fire pit or protect the surface beneath.
- Spark guards and other accessories: such as skewers, a blow pipe, a pellet adapter or a heat deflector.
What to look for
Most accessories are made for a specific diameter or model. So check the title and specifications to see which fire pit or fire bowl a grate, plancha or lid is designed for, for example the Höfats Bowl 57 or 70 or an 80 cm BonFeu bowl. The Type filter lets you choose the type of accessory. Only put a lid or cover on once the fire is completely out and cooled down.
Burning more safely
A spark guard keeps sparks in and a base plate protects the surface, but neither replaces the usual precautions. Only burn in the open air, never under a canopy or parasol, keep plenty of distance from anything that can burn, never leave the fire unattended and keep water, sand or a fire blanket close at hand.

Frequently asked questions
Does every grill grate fit my fire bowl?
No. Grates and planchas are usually made for a specific diameter or model. Check the title and specifications to see which fire bowl a grate is designed for, and measure your bowl if in doubt.
Do I need a spark guard?
A spark guard keeps most of the sparks that jump out of the fire inside. That is useful in a garden with plants or furniture nearby. Even with a spark guard, keep plenty of distance from anything that can burn and never leave the fire unattended.
When should I put a lid or cover on my fire pit?
Only once the fire is completely out and the fire pit and ashes have cooled down fully. After that, a lid or cover keeps the rain out.
