Compare BonFeu fire bowls and fire baskets
BonFeu is a Dutch brand with Dutch Design fire bowls and fire baskets, and a large range of accessories for cooking over the fire. On this page you compare BonFeu products with the key specifications and the current price at the shop. Boender Outdoor does not sell anything itself: you always order from the shop, with its delivery and terms.
BonFeu fire bowls and fire baskets
- BonBowl and BonBowl Plus: Corten steel fire bowls from 60 to 150 cm, including versions on a round base.
- BonBiza: a fire bowl with plancha and log store, in 80 cm black steel and as the BonBiza XL in Corten steel.
- BonVes: 34 and 45 cm fire baskets with grill grate and poker, in black or rust brown.
Accessories for cooking over the fire
The bowls are matched by BonGrill grill grates, as full or half grates in the sizes of the fire bowls, and a stainless steel grate for the BonBiza and BonPlancha. The BonPlancha is a steel griddle that sits on the fire bowl, as a full or half plancha in the sizes of the bowls. There are also separate planchas with two handles. With the 110 cm BonBridge campfire bridge, for fire bowls up to 120 cm, you place a stainless steel grate above the fire, and with the 75 cm BonSkewer skewers you roast over the flames. There are also lids, protective covers and stands.
What to look for when choosing
First choose the size of the fire bowl; the Diameter filter lets you compare them side by side. Accessories such as the plancha, grate, lid and cover are made per size, so choose the same size as your bowl. If you mainly want to fry, look at a full plancha; with a half plancha, part stays open for a grate. Corten steel develops a brown rust layer that is part of the look. If you want something smaller, a BonVes fire basket is an option.
Care and covering
A lid or protective cover in the size of your bowl protects the fire bowl from rain and dirt when you are not using it. Let the fire and the ash cool down completely before you put the lid or cover on, and only throw away the ash once it is completely cold. Clean the plancha after cooking as the manual describes.
Using it safely
Only use a fire bowl or fire basket outdoors in the open air, not under a canopy, pergola, parasol or awning, and never indoors or in a tent. Keep a generous distance from your house, trees, hedges and fences, and follow the manual. Place the bowl on a stable, non-combustible surface, not on wooden decking or unprotected grass. Burn dry, untreated wood, never leave the fire unattended and keep water or sand close by. Local rules on fires apply, and in the Netherlands a stookalert from the RIVM may be in force.

Frequently asked questions
Which BonPlancha fits my BonFeu fire bowl?
Choose the BonPlancha in the same size as your fire bowl, for example 80 cm for an 80 cm bowl. The size is in the title. There are full and half planchas.
What is the BonFeu BonBridge?
A 110 cm campfire bridge for fire bowls up to 120 cm. You use it with a 47 x 47 cm stainless steel grill grate so you can grill above the fire.
Why does a Corten steel BonBowl rust?
Corten steel develops a brown rust layer that is part of the look. This layer can rub off at first, so take care with light surfaces and follow the manual.
Does Boender Outdoor sell BonFeu?
