Sunred patio heaters: compare every model
Sunred is a brand that focuses on patio heating. Its range covers electric infrared heaters that stand on the ground, hang from above, mount on a wall or sit on a table, plus gas heaters for a larger patio. On this page you compare Sunred models and the matching covers and brackets, with the current price at the shop.
The Sunred lines
- Bright: heaters with a visible glow, such as the Artix, Artix Corda, Indus, Retro and Barcelona, freestanding or hanging, mostly between 1,500 and 2,100 watts (the hanging Indus II also comes in 3,000 watts).
- Dark: long carbon heaters for the wall, a tripod or the table, including the Triangle, Valencia and Vintage, from 1,200 to 3,000 watts.
- Ultra: including the Moderna Artix, Indus Ultra, Fortuna, Proglax Gastro and the Apollo tabletop model.
- Quartz: simple models such as the Lugo (wall) and Elektra (freestanding).
- Nero: a heater with a black radiant panel for the wall or ceiling.
- Gas: freestanding gas heaters such as the Sargas, Propus, Bogo and Gas flame torch, from 10,000 to 14,000 watts.
Which Sunred suits you?
If you have a canopy or pergola, a hanging model or a wall-mounted heater from the Dark line is practical: nothing on the ground and heat from above. For an open patio with no wall nearby, choose a freestanding model, or a gas heater if you sit outside with a larger group and there is no socket. A tabletop model is enough for a balcony or a small seating area. Check the IP rating if the heater will be exposed to the weather: it differs per line.
Covers and brackets
Many Sunred models have their own protective cover, for example the Artix, Artix Corda, Retro, Indus, Nero, Propus and the Dark line, and there is a universal cover for gas heaters. The bracket for the Dark line lets you fit a Dark heater to a parasol pole. Some heaters are also listed as a combi deal with a cover. Check on the product page that a cover fits your model.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between Sunred Bright and Dark?
Bright heaters give off a visible glow and mainly come as freestanding and hanging models. The Dark line consists of long carbon heaters for the wall, a tripod or the table. Check the wattage, IP rating and mounting on the product page.
Does Sunred make gas patio heaters?
Yes. The comparison includes freestanding gas heaters such as the Sargas, Propus and Bogo, from 10,000 to 14,000 watts. They run on a gas bottle and are for outdoor use only.
Can I fit a Sunred heater to my parasol?
For the Dark line there is a bracket to fit the heater to a parasol pole. Always keep to the distances in the manual so the parasol canopy does not get too hot.
Is there a cover for my Sunred?
Many models have their own cover, including the Artix, Artix Corda, Retro, Indus, Nero, Propus and the Dark line. The title of the cover tells you which model it is for.
