Compare Nordisk tents, sleeping bags and mats

Nordisk is a Danish camping brand with a polar bear as its logo. The brand is known for its polycotton bell tents and for sleeping bags for cold nights. On this page you compare Nordisk products with the current price at the shop.

What will you find from Nordisk?

• Tents: the Asgard and Utgard bell tents in Technical Cotton, the Reisa family tent and light trekking tents such as the Telemark and Otra.
• Sleeping bags: a wide choice, from summer sleeping bags to models for frost, such as the Bjarni, Gormsson, Ides, Knuth, Iver, Celsius, Oscar, Nansen and Walløe, and the light down and synthetic Phantom, Vib, Voyage, Tension and Balance series.
• Sleeping mats: self-inflating mats such as the Alden.
• Camping furniture: a wooden camp bed, the Marselis, and chairs such as the Moesgaard and Kongelund.

Bell tents in Technical Cotton

The Asgard and Utgard are spacious tents with one or two centre poles, made of Technical Cotton: a blend of cotton and polyester. This fabric breathes, stays cooler in the sun and is less noisy than polyester, but it is heavier and must dry properly before you store it. The number in the name of the Asgard is the floor area in square metres. If you have to pack up in the rain, set the tent up again at home as soon as you can so it dries out fully.

Sleeping bags for every season

Many Nordisk sleeping bags have the temperature in the name, such as Bjarni +10° or Oscar -10°. Each product also shows the comfort temperature. Choose a sleeping bag with a comfort temperature slightly below the lowest night-time temperature you expect. The comfort temperature filter quickly shows which models fit. A well-insulated mat underneath helps your sleeping bag keep you warm.

Light trekking tents

Besides the large cotton tents, Nordisk has light trekking tents such as the Telemark and Otra. These are made of a thin, strong tent fabric and are small when packed, so you can easily take them in a rucksack or pannier. The number in the name often indicates the number of people; each product lists the weight and the dimensions.

Wooden camping furniture

Nordisk also has camping furniture with a wooden frame, such as the Marselis camp bed and the Moesgaard chair. They go well with the cotton tents and give a pitch a natural look. Wood is heavier than aluminium, so this furniture is mainly suitable if you travel by car and stay in one place for longer.

How to compare Nordisk

Use the filters to choose by type, number of people, comfort temperature, material and colour, and sort by price or popularity. You always order from the shop itself. Other tent brands are Vango, Outwell and Robens. All camping gear together can be found under camping.
