Compare Witt pizza ovens and accessories

Witt is a Danish brand that makes kitchen appliances and outdoor pizza ovens. Witt pizza ovens run on gas and stand out for their clean design. On this page you compare Witt pizza ovens and the accessories that go with them, with the current price at the shop.

Which Witt ovens will you find here?

  • Etna Rotante and Etna Rotante Control: gas ovens with a rotating pizza stone, for pizzas up to 16 inch (about 40 cm).
  • Etna Fermo: the Etna with a fixed stone, in graphite.
  • Piccolo Rotante: a gas oven with a rotating stone, in a 13 inch and a 16 inch version, in black or green.

Rotating or fixed stone

On the Rotante models the stone turns while the pizza bakes, so it cooks evenly without you having to keep turning it with a turning peel. With a fixed stone, as on the Etna Fermo, you turn the pizza yourself a few times. That takes a little more attention, but also gives you more control over which side bakes most.

Which Witt should you choose?

  • As little turning as possible: choose a Rotante model, such as the Etna Rotante or the Piccolo Rotante.
  • Smaller pizzas: the Piccolo Rotante 13 takes pizzas up to about 33 cm.
  • Staying in control: the Etna Fermo with a fixed stone, where you turn the pizza yourself.

What else do you need?

Besides the oven, you need a pizza peel to slide the pizza in and out, and with a fixed stone also a turning peel. An infrared thermometer shows you when the stone is hot enough, and a cover protects the oven if it stays outside. Check whether a regulator and hose are included; that differs per version and shop.

Witt accessories

Witt also makes pizza oven accessories: perforated pizza peels in 12 and 14 inch, including the Soft Grip peels, a wooden pizza peel, a perforated turning peel, an infrared thermometer and Heavy Duty protective covers for the Etna and the Piccolo. For a cover, choose the version that fits your oven and its size.

Using gas safely

Only use a Witt pizza oven outdoors, on a stable surface and away from anything that can catch fire. Connect it with a regulator and hose that match the appliance and the gas cylinder. In the Netherlands 30 mbar is usual, in Belgium often 37 mbar. Check the connection for leaks with soapy water, close the cylinder after use and let the oven cool down before you put the cover on.

Comparing Witt with other brands

Under gas and wood-fired pizza ovens you compare the Witt ovens with the Koda gas ovens and the Karu multi-fuel ovens from Ooni. All pizza ovens and accessories are under pizza ovens.
