Compare Lechuza self-watering pots and planters for outdoors
Lechuza is a German brand known for self-watering flower pots and planters. Almost every Lechuza pot has a removable inner liner and a water reservoir, so the plant draws water by itself. On this page you compare the Lechuza pots that are suitable for indoor and outdoor use according to their specifications, at the current price at the retailer.
Which Lechuza series are there?
- Flower pots: round pots such as Classico, Cilindro, Rondo, Puro and Nido, and square models like Cubico and Quadro.
- Planters: angular planters such as Cube, Cubeto, Canto and Delta, plus the Bacino bowl. The Canto Stone 30 high also comes in an LED version.
- Balcony planters: the Balconera in Color, Cottage and Stone versions, from 40 to 80 cm.
- Large planters: the largest Lechuza models also appear among the large planters from every brand.
Finishes: Color, Cottage, Stone and Premium
The word after the series name tells you the finish. Color is a plain colour, Cottage has a woven texture and Stone a stone look. Premium is a separate line within the same shapes. The number in the name is the size in centimetres, as in Classico 43 or Balconera 80. With the Colour filter you can choose white, grey, taupe, brown or anthracite, among others.
How a self-watering pot works
The plant sits in the inner liner, with the water reservoir below it. Through the soil and substrate the plant draws water up whenever it needs it. You water less often and the roots do not stand in too much water. Because the liner is removable, you can lift the plant out without moving the outer pot. Self-watering planters from every brand are listed under self-watering planters.
Using Lechuza outdoors
All Lechuza pots are made of plastic, so they are light. Outdoors, keep the rain in mind, as it can fill the reservoir. In winter it is sensible to leave the reservoir empty and to move the pot to a sheltered spot during hard frost. Check the capacity in litres and the dimensions on the product page, so the pot suits the plant.
Compare prices
The filters let you choose by type, colour, diameter and length. Every product shows the current price at the retailer, where you also place your order. More brands are under planters, or take a look at Elho as well.
