- Size: a parasol must be at least as large as the area to be shaded. Calculate: table 120x80 cm → parasol minimum Ø 300 cm.
- Base: a good parasol base is heavy enough to keep the parasol stable — allow approximately 10-15 kg per metre diameter.
- Fabric material: Olefin and Spuncrylic are the most UV-resistant and colour-fast fabrics; UPF 50+ provides the best protection.
- Tilt function: a tilt function allows you to adjust the shade with the sun — ideal for the midday sun.
