WiFi smart switching: the Garden Lights Wi-Fi Switch

In addition to the Zigbee fittings, Garden Lights also offers a Wi-Fi Switch — a smart transformer or switch that connects directly to your home wifi network. No hub, no extra controller needed. Control your garden lighting via the accompanying app, set timers or link it to Amazon Alexa or Google Home. Ideal as an introduction to smart garden lighting without a complex system.

Combine smart and standard Garden Lights fittings

The great advantage of Garden Lights Smart is that it's fully compatible with the existing 12V flex cable system. You combine smart fittings with standard Garden Lights spots, uplights and decklights on the same network. Only the smart fittings respond to the app — the standard fittings simply switch on/off via the transformer. This way you can build up a smart system step by step, without replacing everything at once.

Installing smart garden lighting: do it yourself in an afternoon

You install Garden Lights Smart fittings in exactly the same way as standard Garden Lights fittings — via the push-on connector system on the flex cable. Additionally, you configure the smart controller or gateway with your wifi network via the app. This takes around 10 minutes on average. After that, you add each smart fitting to the app by pairing it with a simple button sequence. No cable cutting, no electrician needed.
