Materials and finishes

Garden Lights wall fittings are made from stainless steel, aluminium or technopolymer — materials specially selected for outdoor durability. They do not rust, discolour or require maintenance. Available in black, anthracite and silver grey for any garden design. The protection rating is a minimum of IP44 (splash-resistant) for use in sheltered locations, or IP54 for fully exposed installation in the rain.

Installing wall lighting on 12V: how it works

Garden Lights wall lights connect to the 12V flex cable system via the push-in connector. The cable runs along or through the wall to the fitting — you can neatly conceal it in a cable trunking or leave it visible along the wall with clips. The light itself is secured with screws:

• On wood (fence, pergola) — use wood screws, optionally with plugs for harder wood types
• On concrete or masonry — drill with a masonry bit and use wall plugs
• On facade cladding (render, HPL) — use anchor bolts or cavity wall plugs for a secure fixing

Combine multiple wall lights on one transformer for consistent lighting along your entire facade. Allow for total wattage: a 60W transformer provides space for approximately 10–15 wall lights of 4–6W.

Spacing: how far apart should you hang wall lights?

The ideal distance between wall lights depends on the function and desired effect:

• Atmospheric lighting along a fence — 1.5 to 2.5 metres spacing for a calm, cohesive light line
• Functional lighting at entrance or garage — 2 to 3 metres, or one light on each side of the door for symmetry
• Accent lighting along a pergola — one light per post or per 2 metres of beam for a professional result
