Barbecook barbecues: compare gas, charcoal and kamado
Barbecook is a Belgian barbecue brand with a wide line-up: gas barbecues, charcoal barbecues, a ceramic kamado, electric models and a great many accessories, from grates and covers to smoking wood and tools. The brand focuses on practical barbecues for home use, from a tabletop model to a gas barbecue with a cabinet and side burner. On this page you compare the Barbecook models and accessories listed on this site, with the current price at the shop.
Barbecook models on this site
- Gas barbecues: the Siesta series (210, 310, 412 and 612, in Graphite or Black Edition), the Luca 210, 312 and 412, the Spring 3212 with side burner and the Stella 4311.
- Charcoal barbecues: the Loewy in several sizes (40, 45, 50 and 55), the Magnus kettle in Original and Comfort, the cast iron Edson, the Joya tabletop model and the Nestor Original, a wood-fired barbecue in corten or galvanised steel.
- Kamado: the ceramic Kamal 2.0 in Large and Extra Large.
- Electric barbecues: the E-Carlo tabletop barbecue in red, Midnight Grey and Paris Green, the E-Luca with folding side tables and the Otto 2.0, an electric smoker.
- Accessories: covers, grates and griddles, pizza plates, tools, thermometers, rotisseries, smoking wood and fire starters.
Which Barbecook suits you?
If you want to grill quickly and without fuss, look at the gas barbecues. The Siesta 210 and Luca 210 are compact models for a small patio, the Luca 312 and 412 have a cabinet and side burner, and the Siesta 612 is the largest model in this comparison. The number of burners and the size of the cooking area are shown on the product page.
If you like the taste of charcoal, the Loewy is a simple round barbecue in several sizes. The Magnus is a kettle barbecue with a lid, so you can also cook indirectly; for the Magnus there is a pizza oven, charcoal baskets and a premium cover, among other things. The Edson is an open cast iron grill and the Joya a small tabletop barbecue with tongs, handy for a balcony or a sociable evening at the table. The Nestor is a large wood-fired barbecue to gather around with a group.
For long, slow cooking or smoking, the Kamal 2.0 is worth considering: a ceramic kamado that holds its heat for a long time. If open fire is not allowed on your balcony, look at the electric E-Carlo or E-Luca (do check the rules of your building or landlord). The Otto 2.0 is designed for electric smoking.
Barbecook accessories
Barbecook offers a large number of accessories. Think of covers for gas barbecues, the Magnus, Edson, Nestor and kamado, grates and griddle plates such as cast iron griddles, clamp grills and replacement grates in various sizes, and pizza accessories such as pizza plates, pizza peels and a pizza oven for the Magnus or Nestor. There are also tools such as tongs, spatulas and brushes, thermometers, a motorised rotisserie and starters, firelighters and charcoal. If you like smoking, you will find smoking chips, sawdust and smoking planks in different types of wood. The Dynamic Centre system consists of inserts such as a searing grate and a wok and Dutch oven holder. Check on the product page whether an accessory fits your model and size.
Comparing Barbecook with other brands
For gas barbecues, compare Barbecook with Weber and Boretti. For the kamado, you can put the Kamal next to the Kamado Joe and the Keij Kamado; if you are torn between a kamado and gas, read kamado or gas barbecue. An overview of well-known brands can be found in barbecue brands and what they are known for.
Frequently asked questions
Which Barbecook suits a small patio?
For a small patio, compact gas barbecues such as the Siesta 210 or Luca 210 are a logical choice. On charcoal, the Loewy 40 and the Joya tabletop barbecue are small. For a balcony without open fire, look at the electric E-Carlo.
What is the difference between the Barbecook Siesta and Luca?
Both are gas barbecues. The Luca 312 and 412 have a cabinet and a side burner, the Luca 210 has folding side tables. The Siesta series runs from a compact model to a large model with five burners. Compare the number of burners and the features on the product page.
Does Barbecook make a kamado?
Yes, the Barbecook Kamal 2.0 is a ceramic kamado, listed on this site in Large and Extra Large. There is also a premium cover for the kamado and a set of cast iron half-moon grates for the Kamal 53.
Where can you buy a Barbecook barbecue?
Boender Outdoor does not sell anything itself: here you compare models and see the current price at the shop. The button on the product page takes you to the shop to order.
